Community Education: Pollinator Initiative
Helping nurture future generations of environmental leaders
South Bay Parkland Conservancy:
Offers community education about native habitat, pollinators, biodiversity and conservation, and how pollinators are essential for our food supply
Engages the community through educational and restoration activities
Restores and establishes native habitat on public and private lands to support pollinators, plant reproduction and biodiversity
Programming includes free seminars, habitat restoration days, nature walks, RBCG education, seed packets and libraries, nursery operations and other events like the annual Earth Day event at Hopkins Wilderness Park.
Earth Day Event
Each April, we gather the South Bay community at Hopkins Wilderness Park to enjoy nature, learn to be stewards of the earth, and connect with one another over a mutual respect of all things wild.
Volunteer Opportunities
Community members can volunteer at restoration sites, tabling events, seed packet making and at the nursery at Madrona Marsh Preserve. There’s something for everyone!
Youth programming includes Student Ambassadors, High School Scholarships, Pollinator gardens, Scout activities, JUNP nature walks and more!
