April 21-22: Earth Day Celebration at Wilderness Park

This Earth Day join in with members of the South Bay Parkland Conservancy as we come together as a community to garden, camp, play and celebrate Wilderness Park and our beautiful earth.

Service Project in the Morning: Open to the Public

4/21 /18 10am-1pm

The morning will begin with a family friendly service project and native plant gardening workshop in the lower pond area. This is a family friendly event, and all are invited to participate. Meet at the front gate to complete a waiver and for directions to the lower pond site. We will be stabilizing the slope rising from the lower pond with native plants provided by SBPC. Make sure to bring your tools for gardening, or you can borrow ours if needed.  

SBPC Campout Fundraiser:

We have reserved two group campsites (Sycamore and Gumwood) with a maximum capacity of 80 people. So reserve your tickets soon!

We will have guest speakers, good food, games for children, T-shirts, music and information on how people can get involved in the restoration efforts at Wilderness Park.

Tickets include the cost of dinner and breakfast  All proceeds of ticket sales will go to cover costs of the event as well as fund the cost of native plants for the revitalization efforts of the lower pond area at Wilderness Park.

The Garden of Compassion Garden Party!!! Oct. 7, 2017


Please join the fun at the vacant lot on 900 Torrance Blvd Redondo Beach, CA 90277. It's right on the corner of Torrance Blvd and Lucia Ave. 

We will be discussing the Garden of Compassion Model and Principles, the next phases of creation and development, and how the community will help sustain this amazing garden space.

This event is hosted by Samantha Iacobello, a very active Board Member of the the South Bay Parkland Conservancy organization. She wants to see you there and hear how excited you are to be a part of this IMPORTANT movement towards a future that supports community gardening, preserves open spaces, and establishes a network with the world who wish to see people living in harmony with nature.
